The summit aims to unite the 16 West African countries (and neighbours) for high-level dialogue on unlocking the region’s energy potential.
WAECS is designed as a strategic platform bringing together public- and private-sector players — from governments, utilities, and regulators to investors and technology providers — to explore investment opportunities in renewables, gas-to-power, regional interconnectivity, energy infrastructure, and digitalisation. The summit also aims to foster new partnerships and strengthen existing alliances, with the broader goal of promoting just energy transition and long-term regional energy cooperation.
